[She whirls around, but some of the fire in her eyes has died down. Just a little.]
Of course it wasn't. It's never about me -- you only think about me when it's about how to keep me out. You're so damn selfish you think you have to take the weight of the world on your own fucking shoulders, even when there are people that want to help you. I told you I'd wait, if I got in a fight. Stop fucking telling me to run and leave you on your own. If my life is your business, then you have to start fucking telling me more shit than "run and get help, maybe, eventually, when I could already be dead"!
[She bites the inside of her cheek and angrily grinds her toes into the ground. Yes, that was true, and smart, but... Doesn't mean it has to sit well with her.]
A conversation that you could never have returned from.
[Just before the day switches over into the next, Kainé quietly makes her way inside the temple again. She doesn't know if Sharak's awake, and doesn't have any real intention of finding out, but even though it would minimize noise, she doesn't just go to her usual spot and pass out. Instead, she wanders around until she can deduce where Sharak is, then curls up against a nearby wall.
She'd be there and available if needed. She'd make sure of that now more than ever.]
[Sharak is in her room, having spent most of the night after parting with Kainé struggling to sleep for one reason or another. She's silent when Kainé makes her approach, making a very good show of sleeping peacefully. She lays there, listening to the sound of her shinki's breathing until slowly the tension from her own body starts to vanish.
Finally, as the sun starts to rise, Sharak falls into a peaceful slumber.]

I went on my own because the person I was seeing is also "Sanzo". It wasn't because of you.

[So there's... that??? Sharak frowns slightly and stares Kainé down.]
You said you didn't mind being my weapon, didn't you? That you wanted me to use you?
no subject
That's not using me. Don't try to tell me it is.

[Sharak's voice is calm, measured and stern.]
Tonight it wasn't appropriate to have you by my side. It wasn't even a fight- it was a conversation.

A conversation that you could never have returned from.

[Ukoku doesn't seem likely to try to kill her at the moment. Also, she's a badass.]
Come on, it's been a long day. Let's go to bed.

...You sleep. I'm gonna walk around a while. Around the temple grounds.
[So not out and about until morning, but...something. She needs to calm down again.]

Fine. Good night.
